Rachel Hartman

Rachel Hartman was born in Kentucky but has lived in several places including Chicago, Philadelphia, England and Japan. She has a BA in Comparative Literature. After graduating she began drawing comic books. Her first novel, Seraphina, was a New York Times bestseller and won the William A. Morris YA Debut award in 2013. The sequel, Shadow Scale, also made the NYT bestseller list in 2015. Her latest book, Tess of the Road, came out in February.
